Conversations Divisions

What determines when a conversation is processed and a card is created in that space? Is there a way to time the uploads?

Heelo! What determines it: Omi creates a new conversation card when there's a silence gap (no audio) for a certain amount of time. The default is 120 seconds (2 minutes) of silence.

Can you control it? Yes! Here's how to adjust it:

    1. Go to Profile (top-right icon) → Developer Mode

    2. Scroll down to "Conversation timeout" setting

    3. You can set it from 2 minutes to 4 hours. I use 2 minutes.

    How it works:

    • Shorter timeout (e.g., 60s) = more frequent conversation cards (splits conversations faster)

    • Longer timeout (e.g., 300s) = fewer, longer conversations (groups more together before processing)

    Processing happens when:

    • Silence hits the timeout duration, OR

    • You manually stop recording/disconnect

Note: The actual upload/transcription happens in real-time during the conversation (if you're online). The "processing" at the end is when it generates the summary, extracts tasks, etc.
