Issue with recordings made directly in the Omi iPhone app
I’m having an issue with recordings made directly in the Omi iPhone app. Transcript text appeared live while I was recording, but after I tapped Finish and processing began, the recording disappeared from Conversations. I force-quit and reopened the app, but it’s still missing. This has happened with more than one recording. Could you check whether they were saved or processed, and whether they can be recovered?
Approximate recording time(s): 10:20 am 09/26/2026 PST/PDT
iPhone model: iPhone 13 Pro
Omi app version:
Omi AI 1.0.552 (1246) — iPhone — iOS 26.6.1

Thanks for confirming your earlier recordings now stay visible. The Process Now fix #21322 is now merged and deployed on the server; no app update is needed for it. Separate sync-status improvements in #21362 are merged, but their mobile release remains unverified.
Please try one new spoken recording using Transcribe Later → Process Now, then refresh and restart. If it still becomes discarded, share the test’s recording time and your current app version.

Thanks for checking again. I’m glad your recordings now stay visible after refreshing and restarting. I haven’t yet confirmed what resolved that earlier disappearance.
For the Transcribe Later → Process Now issue, I’ve opened a proposed fix (#21322). It preserves your choice to process a recording so the resulting conversation isn’t automatically discarded. The PR is still open and hasn’t been deployed or verified on a physical iPhone yet.
For now, please continue using real-time transcription, which you confirmed is working.

I’m sorry seeing live text and then losing the recording is serious. I’ve logged this for investigation in #20459. Please don’t reinstall Omi or clear its data. Could you share the duration of each missing recording and check whether “Show Discarded Conversations” reveals them? We need to check your account’s processing records privately before we can say whether they’re recoverable.

Both Show Discarded Conversations and Show Short Conversations are enabled, with the duration threshold set to 0 min.
I tap Record, then Finish. A new Processing entry appears, and older recordings reappear as Discarded. When I pull down to refresh, all these entries disappear again. Could you check why this happens and whether my missing recordings are still stored?

Thanks for checking both settings. With discarded and short conversations visible and the threshold at 0, those filters don’t explain why the entries disappear on refresh.
The Processing and Discarded rows may be appearing temporarily in the app before it reloads the server list. We still need to check your account’s recording and processing records before we can say whether the audio or transcript was saved or whether it can be recovered.
Could you share the approximate duration or end time of each missing recording, and whether Offline Sync / Manage Storage shows any pending or failed audio? Please don’t reinstall Omi or clear app data, and you don’t need to post conversation contents here. We’ll update this request when the storage check gives us a verified answer.

Here are two examples, with times in PDT:
September 26: 5:59–6:00 AM, 25 seconds.
October 4: 4:19 AM, shown as 35 seconds in the conversation details and 48 seconds in Offline Sync.
Offline Sync says “All recordings synced” and shows “Synced 11.” The visible entries are marked “Conversation created,” but Home shows “No conversations yet.” Store Audio on Phone is On, and Store Audio on Cloud is Off.

Thank you these times and sync details give us specific recordings to investigate. “Conversation created” in Offline Sync conflicts with “No conversations yet” on Home, and I don’t want to guess whether the recordings can be recovered. We need to check the sync results and conversation records for September 26 at 5:59–6:00 AM and October 4 at 4:19 AM PDT. Please leave the recordings in Offline Sync and keep Omi installed with its app data intact while we check. You don’t need to share the recording contents publicly. We’ll report back with what we can verify.
