Only Record My Voice – Ignore Background Audio
I’d love an option where Omi only records and transcribes my voice, and ignores other people or background noise. Right now, Omi would picks up every sound around me — podcasts, music, people talking, etc. This leads to messy, inaccurate summaries.
Proposed Feature:
A voice-isolation or voice-recognition setting that:
Filters out non-user voices.
Prioritizes the registered user’s voice (e.g., from training or enrollment).
Optionally prompts me to confirm before saving transcriptions from uncertain sources.
Why it matters:
This would keep summaries more accurate, reduce false memories, and make the app more useful in noisy environments like public places, home with family, or when media is playing.

I see this was a comment from a year ago and im having this exact problem. Did anyone figure a way around this? I got a fair use warning because I was watching TV! I got thr device so it could passively operate essentially all day (I am always, like at any time, taking calls and such that need remembering)

This makes Omi unusable. I listen to Audiobooks and it confuses what it hears from my drives with Audiobooks with reality. It then generates totally insane action plans based on literature I am reading. Till this is fixed, it is of no use to me.

Definitely one of my biggest annoyances seeing the action packed movie I’m watching getting transcribed lol.

I'd like if I could set it to hear my name though - meetings/chats when tasks are assigned might be someone else leading who says, “X - you'll get such and such task, Y - you're on the other, Z is me and I've taken on this.”
If it's only paying attention to my voice, an override that includes tasks specifically assigned to me but nothing else from someone else would be a helpful safety net.
