Plan change fails with currency error: "price only supports usd, expected jpy" (iOS, Japan)
When I try to change my subscription plan in the iOS app, tapping "Continue" fails with this error:
"The price specified only supports usd. This doesn't match the expected currency: jpy."
Steps to reproduce:
iOS app, language set to Japanese, located in Japan
Open Plans & Billing
Select Monthly, then select Unlimited ($29.99/mo)
Tap Continue
The error above appears under the button and the plan is not changed
My account already has a paid subscription, which I believe was billed in JPY. It looks like the customer record is fixed to JPY, while the Plus and Unlimited prices only exist in USD, so Stripe rejects the change.
Expected: I can switch plans, either with a JPY price or by being charged in USD.
Could you add JPY prices for these plans, or let me know how to change plans from Japan? Screenshot attached.

We found the currency mismatch. Earlier JPY support (#20804) is on main but doesn’t fix plan changes; its deployment is unverified. Draft #23591 addresses the remaining flow and needs CI/review, merging, production billing checks, backend deployment and an app release. Please keep your current subscription; once released, update and confirm the JPY plan change succeeds.
